Infusion Compliance

Regulatory Alignment, Safety Readiness, and Documentation Standards

DocMoonlight helps infusion centers align physician oversight with CMS policy, site rules, emergency SOPs, and operational documentation requirements.

Focus

Federal policy, state rule alignment, emergency readiness, and real-time supervision documentation.

Regulatory and Safety Alignment

We follow federal policy and specialty safety expectations, then adapt the model to state rules and your internal bylaws.

  • Medicare (CMS): For services requiring direct supervision in physician offices, CMS currently permits immediate availability via real-time audio and video through December 31, 2025. We configure workflows accordingly and update as policy changes.
  • Hospital outpatient infusions: CMS policy establishes general supervision as the minimum for hospital outpatient therapeutic services, while sites may choose a higher level based on risk and policy.
  • Safety practices: Initial higher-risk therapies such as first IVIG doses or product changes are planned with onsite physician or APP presence, while maintenance infusions may use virtual oversight when policy allows.
  • State and credentialing: We verify supervision rules, telehealth requirements, and licensing, NPDB, background, drug screen, and malpractice documentation as applicable.

Secure virtual presence

BAA-backed sessions, encryption, audit trails, and administrative controls.

Emergency-ready SOPs

Epinephrine, oxygen, IV fluids, ACLS-trained staff, drills, and structured post-event review.

Documentation and QA

Real-time supervision logs, incident reporting within 24 hours, and monthly QA dashboards.

Sites may still choose higher supervision standards based on therapy risk and internal policy.
